Dr Felicity Rawlings : student 1995 to 1999:

Felicity recalls the work of members of staff in the department and the research training she herself received.

"I recall with some amazement the inspirational efforts of Angela, Sheila, Elaine, Pat and others in their work to address the development changes of the 21st century.   After all, not everyone would willingly choose to conduct research in places like Sri Lanka with its internal turmoil or the Amazon where mere survival can be a daily challenge! Often there would be many a story told on return from their research sites across the globe.  

I am immensely grateful for the excellent research training I had in EID under the supervision of Angela and the warm collegiality of staff and students."
