Madura Wehella : student 2000 - 2001

Madura recalls particular members of staff who were a great influence.

"I followed a master degree in Education and International Development at EID during 2000/2001. I feel that I have gained broader knowledge, vision on education in developing world, which I am using to work in Sri Lanka. I had opportunities to work with versatile and world famous staff especially Professor Angela Little, Dr. Chris William, Dr. Unterhalter, and Dr. Peter Early.

Also I had the opportunity to associate with many students from all over the world who are from developed countries, as well as those who had working experience in developing countries.

Now I am working as a Deputy Director of Education, responsible for policy related matters and external resource planning, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Education and Cultural Affairs, Sri Lanka. Experience I gained from the Institute will  benefit me for a long time."
